The kindergarten at Spickelwiese is defined by its open and nature-oriented architecture. Numerous openings and a building form that engages with its surroundings on multiple sides create a close connection to nature, offering children a rich variety of sensory experiences.

Inside the building, a multipurpose event space and a reading room with an integrated kitchen provide opportunities for diverse activities and communal learning. The outdoor area has been designed accordingly: seating nestled among the trees offers children a pleasant, shaded environment for play and relaxation during the summer months.

Additionally, the interior is easily accessible from various points, fostering an open and welcoming atmosphere that supports the children’s freedom of movement.
